How We Help:
Tails of Change Therapy is a group therapy practice that offers therapy services for individuals and families. We specialize in providing Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Equine Assisted Learning Activities. Equine services are available for those ages 12 and up and traditional office therapy services and Brainspotting (trauma modality) are available for ages 10 and up.

Traditional Therapy In Office:
Sometimes we just need someone to listen. When we are hurting or it feels like no one is listening or understands, we will be there you help you through. We want to support you in becoming the best version of yourself and to find the answers you need to move through whatever difficulties you are facing.
At TOCT we offer traditional in-office therapy services for individuals, families, and children for the treatment of anxiety, depression, child or adult trauma, grief and loss, and difficulty with life transitions.
Equine Assisted Psychotherapy:
Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) and Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) combines certified mental health treatment in conjunction with horses to provide an alternative to traditional therapy. This service is different than therapeutic riding as it is provided using ground-basedtherapy interventions that are focused on reducing mental health symptoms.

EAP Continued...
Tails of Change Therapy utilizes the global standard for Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) through certifications with the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA).

No Surprise Act and“Good Faith Estimates”
Effective January 1, 2022, the No Surprises Act (H.R. 133) went into effect. The law includes new requirements for health care providers, facilities, health plans and insurers which are intended to prevent consumers (a.k.a. patients) from receiving unanticipated medical bills. Our fees are listed above, but in addition, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit http://www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
